Porcelain Veneers
Veneers are thin porcelain facings bonded to the front of teeth to change shape, shade, or alignment. They are designed with you, not handed to you finished.

What it is
A veneer covers the visible surface of a tooth. Because porcelain reflects light in a similar way to enamel, a well made veneer blends with the teeth around it rather than standing out.
Veneers are a cosmetic choice, and they involve permanently altering the tooth surface. That is a real decision, so we go through it carefully and put nothing in place until you are sure.
The design stage matters more than the fitting. We agree on shape, length, and shade first, and you get to see and react to a preview.
Who it is for
- You dislike the shape or shade of your front teeth.
- Whitening has not achieved what you hoped.
- Teeth are chipped, worn, or slightly uneven.
- There are small gaps you want closed.
- Your gums and underlying teeth are healthy.
What to expect
Smile consultation
We talk about what you want to change and photograph your smile. Health comes first, so we check the underlying teeth.
Design preview
A digital or physical mock up shows the proposed shape and length. You react to it and we refine it.
Preparation and temporaries
The teeth are prepared conservatively and temporaries are placed so you can live with the shape for a while.
Fitting
The final veneers are tried in before they are bonded. If something is not right, it goes back to the lab.
Questions we hear most
No. Preparing a tooth for a veneer removes some enamel permanently, which is why we spend time on the decision first.
Porcelain resists staining better than natural enamel, but the teeth and bonding around it can still change. Regular hygiene visits help.
Yes, and single veneers are done regularly. Matching one veneer to neighbouring teeth takes care, and we plan for that.
Then we change it. That is what the preview is for, and nothing is prepared until you are happy with the design.
Talk it through with a dentist before you commit to anything.
Bring your questions to a consultation. We will explain what we see and what the options are, and nothing gets booked until you decide it should.
