Denture Repair and Relines
A cracked, loose, or worn denture can often be repaired or refitted rather than replaced. Bring it in and we will tell you which it needs.
What it is
Dentures sit on gum and bone, and both change shape over the years. When the fit loosens, a reline reshapes the fitting surface so the denture matches your mouth again.
Repairs cover cracks, breaks, and teeth that have come away from the base. Some are quick, and some need lab work, which we will tell you when we see it.
If a denture is beyond sensible repair we will say so plainly rather than patching something that will fail again next month.

What to expect
Bring it in
Call the office and come in with the denture and any pieces. Do not try to glue it yourself.
Assessment
We check the denture and your mouth, because a break is often the symptom of a fit problem.
Repair or reline
We explain which one is needed, what it involves, and how long you will be without the denture.
Fit check
Once it is back, we check the fit and the bite and adjust any sore spots.
Questions we hear most
Please do not. Household glue can make a proper repair harder and is not safe in the mouth.
It depends on whether the work is done in house or at a lab. We will tell you before we take it from you.
Often because the fit has changed and the denture is flexing. That is why we check the fit and not just the crack.
Sometimes that is the better answer. We will tell you honestly which option makes sense for the denture you have.
