Implants and Urgent Care
Implant Restoration
If your implant was placed elsewhere, the crown or bridge on top can still be made and fitted here. Bring whatever records you have and we will work from them.

What it is
Implant restoration is the part of the process above the gum. The post is already in place, and what is needed is the abutment and the crown, bridge, or denture attachment that sits on it.
This also covers repairs. Crowns loosen, screws work free, and older restorations wear. Those are fixable, and they are handled in this office rather than referred back out.
We start by identifying the implant system you have. That determines which components fit, so records from the surgical office are genuinely useful.
Who it is for
- Your implant was placed by another practice.
- An existing implant crown feels loose or has come off.
- You moved to the area partway through treatment.
- An older implant restoration is worn or discoloured.
- You want one office looking after the whole mouth.
What to expect
Records and assessment
We review any paperwork or imaging you have and take our own if needed, so we can identify the system.
Component check
We confirm the implant is stable and order the matching parts. Nothing is fitted onto a post we are unsure about.
Digital scan
A scan captures the implant position and the surrounding teeth so the restoration is made to your mouth.
Fitting
The restoration is tried in, checked for bite and appearance, then secured. Aftercare is explained before you leave.
Questions we hear most
Usually yes. Imaging and the components themselves often identify the system. It may add a step, and we will tell you if it does.
Call the office and describe it. If there is pain or a sharp edge we will see you promptly, and if not we will book you sensibly.
Often, yes. We check the post first, because the restoration is only worth remaking if what it sits on is sound.
If you would like us to, and you give permission, we are happy to request records directly.
Talk it through with a dentist before you commit to anything.
Bring your questions to a consultation. We will explain what we see and what the options are, and nothing gets booked until you decide it should.
